Those were the days my friend We thought they'd never end We'd sing and dance forever and a day We'd live the life we choose We'd fight and never lose For we were young and sure to have our way. La la la la... Those were the days, oh yes those were the days

Happy Sunday
Up bright and early - in fact at the crack of dawn. Kids to work - then the sunday trawl through the Avondale Flea Market.
Veges are in the fridge - and now on to the rest of the day.

Well that seemed to work -
Now how do you attract people to it. I've opened a box of memories today - stuff from the 50s, and 60s - Hawera style. Have the HHS School magazines dating 1953, 1958, 1966, 1967,1968,1969...wonder where I found 1953 and 1958 - and where did 1970 go? Looked at a list of names in the 1958 pages - all those students who went on to beecome teachers - Colin Hedley, Colin Hagan, Valerie Thatcher, Peter Nightingale, Keith Peters, Barbara Tarawhiti, Eddie Betts, Mary Grylls...Is that all there was in those days ...all good people too
